Protein Description:Full Length of Mature Protein

Tag Info:Tag-Free

Mol. Weight:12.1 kDa

Biological_Activity:Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using murine T-lymphocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.

Purity:>97% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.

Endotoxin:Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method.

Form:Lyophilized powder

Buffer:Lyophilized from a 0.2 ?m filtered 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl , pH 7.4

Reconstitution:We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20?/-80?. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Notes:Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4? for up to one week.

Alternative Name/ Alias:6Ckine, Small-inducible cytokine A21c, Thymus-derived chemotactic agent 4, TCA4,

Relevance:Inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. Chemotactic in vitro for thymocytes and activated T-cells, but not for B-cells, macrophages, or neutrophils. Potent mesangial cell chemoattractant. Shows preferential activity towards naive T-cells. May play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to secondary lymphoid organs.

PubMed ID:11123313; 19468303; 15489334; 9419363

Involvement in disease:

Subcellular Location:Secreted

Protein Families:Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family

Tissue Specificity:Expressed strongly in lung, spleen, thymus, peripheral and mesentric lymph nodes. Also expressed in the testis, kidney, liver, and heart.
