Alternative Name(s): Terminal addition enzymeTerminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase

Relevance: Tplate-independent DNA polymerase which catalyzes the random addition of deoxynucleoside 5'-triphosphate to the 3'-end of a DNA initiator. One of the in vivo functions of this enzyme is the addition of nucleotides at the junction (N region) of rearranged Ig heavy chain and T-cell receptor gene segments during the maturation of B- and T-cells.

Reference: Direct binding of TReP-132 with TdT results in reduction of TdT activity.Fujisaki S., Sato A., Toyomoto T., Hayano T., Sugai M., Kubota T., Koiwai O.Genes Cells 11:47-57(2006)

Purity: Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Storage Buffer: Tris-based buffer,50% glycerol

Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20℃/-80℃. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20℃/-80℃.

Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.
