Uniprot Entry Name:CCL24_HUMAN

Gene Names:CCL24,MPIF2,SCYA24

Species:Homo sapiens (Human)

Source:E.Coli

Expression Region:27-104aa

Sequence:VVIPSPCCMF FVSKRIPENR VVSYQLSSRS TCLKAGVIFT TKKGQQFCGD PKQEWVQRYM KNLDAKQKKA SPRARAVA

Protein Description:Partial

Tag Info:Tag-Free

Mol. Weight:8.8 kDa

Biological_Activity:Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood eosinophils is in a concentration of 50-100 ng/ml.

Purity:>97% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.

Endotoxin:Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method.

Form:Lyophilized powder

Buffer:Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered PBS, pH 7.4

Reconstitution:We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20?/-80?. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Notes:Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4? for up to one week.

Alternative Name/ Alias:CK-beta-6, Eotaxin-2, Myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor 2, MPIF-2, Small-inducible cytokine A24

Relevance:Chemotactic for resting T-lymphocytes, and eosinophils. Has lower chemotactic activity for neutrophils but none for monocytes and activated lymphocytes. Is a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. Binds to CCR3.

Function:Chemotactic for resting T-lymphocytes, and eosinophils. Has lower chemotactic activity for neutrophils but none for monocytes and activated lymphocytes. Is a strong suppressor of colony formation by a multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cell line. Binds to CCR3.

Involvement in disease:

Subcellular Location:Secreted

Protein Families:Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family

Tissue Specificity:Activated monocytes and activated T lymphocytes.
