Protein Description:Full Length of Mature Protein

Tag Info:Tag-Free

Mol. Weight:17.6 kDa

Biological_Activity:Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human IL-20R? and human IL-20R? co-transfected murine BaF3 pro-B cells is less than 0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ? 2.0 ×106 IU/mg.

Purity:>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.

Endotoxin:Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method.

Form:Lyophilized powder

Buffer:Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered PBS, pH 7.2, with trehalose

Reconstitution:We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20?/-80?. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Notes:Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4? for up to one week.

Alternative Name/ Alias:IL-20,

Relevance:Proinflammatory and angiogenic cytokine that may be involved in epidermal function and psoriasis. Angiogenic and proliferative activities are antagonized by IL10. May act through STAT3. {ECO:0000269|PubMed:16511554}.

PubMed ID:11163236; 16511554; 12975309; 16710414; 15489334; 15340161; 16908179; 16709143; 22802649

Function:Proinflammatory and angiogenic cytokine that may be involved in epidermal function and psoriasis. Angiogenic and proliferative activities are antagonized by IL10. May act through STAT3.

Involvement in disease:

Subcellular Location:Secreted

Protein Families:IL-10 family

Tissue Specificity:Expressed in most tissues and five major cell types: epithelial cells (primarily skin, buccal mucosa, tongue, nasal mucosa, lung, ureter, breast, prostate, fallopian tube, and adrenal gland), myoepithelial cells (mainly prostate), endothelial cells (mainly in small vessels or capillaries), macrophages, and skeletal muscle. Isoform 2 was detected in the lung tissue only.
