Introducing our SOC Medium, meticulously designed for the cultivation of recombinant strains of E. coli. The Super Optimal broth with Catabolite Repression (SOC) includes added glucose to inhibit catabolism and enhance growth rates significantly.

In our advanced formula:

• Tryptone offers essential nitrogen, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids necessary for robust growth.

• Yeast extract provides a rich source of B-group vitamins, fueling vitality and energy.

• Sodium chloride and potassium chloride supply crucial ions, ensuring cellular balance.

• Magnesium sulfate delivers magnesium ions indispensable for various enzymatic reactions, including efficient DNA replication.

Potassium Chloride	0.186
Magnesium Chloride	0.95
Magnesium Sulfate	1.2
Glucose	3.6
Final pH 7.0±0.2 at 25 ℃

 

Directions:

Suspend 31.4g of the medium in one liter of distilled water or deionized water. Mix well and heat with frequent agitation. Dispense into flasks or tubes. Sterilize in an autoclave at 116℃ for 30 minutes.
